Ancel Keyes was one of the main drivers behind the early push to PUFA (poly-unsaturated fatty acids) and against saturated fats. But why and what was he thinking? In his famous 7 nations study he picked the ones which would make his graph work, including studying Greece during Lent when they went vegetarian.
Apparently, he also just ignored results which did not agree with his ideas: this startling find from Scientific American reveals a study which reveals results which go against his theories. A good scientist would adjust his theories. Keyes did not. How many people are paying for his dishonesty today?
